Tayloe McDonald

Visual Artist and Founder of ArtWorxWell

Tayloe is a visual artist and citizen-neuroscientist. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and a Master of Arts in Medicine from the University of Florida. The permanent collections of Baptist Health Systems, St. Vincent’s Healthcare System, and The Haskell Collection feature her landscape paintings. She is the CEO of ArtSparcs, which develops art-based products and services to support brain health and well-being.

MJ Ice

Biomedical Neuroscience Specialist

MJ is a biomedical neuroscientist passionate about art therapy and its functional and therapeutic role in brain plasticity. She graduated with the Dean’s Medal for Excellence in Liberal Arts and Sciences with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Florida. She is currently working towards a Master of Science in Biomedical Neuroscience from the University of Florida and remains active in clinical and translational research with the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Shands Children’s Hospital. Additionally, she trains therapy dogs for canine assisted therapy for hospice and pediatric patients.

Abby May

Light Designer and Visual Artist

Based in New York City, Abby is a lighting designer who travels the world lighting the stages for international dance, theatre, and opera companies. While earning her Master of Arts degree in Arts in Medicine at the University of Florida, she is also the resident Associate Lighting Designer at City Springs Theatre Company in Atlanta, GA, and the Lighting Supervisor for Ailey II. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in lighting design and technology from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.

Caroline Wagner

Theatre Instructor

Caroline has performed professionally across the United States as an actor, dancer, and singer. She has directed/choreographed hundreds of shows and taught various theatre classes to both children and adults. Believing in the power of improvisation and storytelling to enhance overall well-being, she facilitates virtual arts in health sessions with children, Veterans, and healthcare staff from her home in the Netherlands. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in theatre from Arizona State University and is pursuing a graduate certificate in Arts in Medicine from the University of Florida.
